MICTH is a licensed Network Facilities Provider (NFP) responsible for the development and management of digital connectivity infrastructure in Melaka. The company holds exclusive rights granted by the Melaka State Government to construct, operate, and maintain tower infrastructure to support the growing demand for cellular and broadband services. MICTH owns, manages, and leases tower assets to major Network Service Providers (NSPs) in Malaysia, with over 450 strategically located structures deployed across the state, reinforcing its role as a key enabler of reliable and expansive connectivity. To date, Melaka has achieved CoPA 4G coverage of 99.97% and CoPA 5G coverage of 89.7%.

As the sole provider of common utility trenching for telecommunication networks and the owner of statewide tower infrastructure, MICTH works closely with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and NSPs to enhance network capacity and expand connectivity through fibrilization initiatives. In 2025, the company completed the deployment of over 200 km of fibre optic network, connecting more than 80 locations statewide to expand broadband access and accelerate digital transformation, positioning MICTH at the forefront of Melaka’s digital infrastructure ecosystem in delivering efficient, coordinated, and future-ready connectivity across the state.
