MICTH holds the “exclusive right” from Melaka State government to construct, erect , control and maintain tower telecommunication infrastructure in Melaka from telco companies to meet the demands of telecommunication facilities involving cellular and broadband services to consumer.
Melaka ICT Holdings Sdn Bhd (MICTH), which commenced operations in 2003, is a state-appointed company and an NFP license holder that builds and constructs telecommunication infrastructures in the state of Melaka; and with the exclusive rights to lease them.
At MICTH, we develop, own, manage and lease wireless infrastructure as well as broadcasting structures. As for today, MICTH has more than 350 telecommunication structures strategically located all over Melaka.
Melaka State Economic Planning Unit has issued a Guideline for the Development of Telecommunication Infrastructure consisting of Telecommunication Tower and Fiber Optic Network for the state of Melaka (Garis Panduan Pembangunan Infrastruktur Telekomunikasi yang terdiri daripada Menara Telekomunikasi dan Rangkaian Gentian Optik bagi Negeri Melaka) under MMKN Bil.29/2014, which stipulates that pursuant to MMKN Bil.38/2012 issued on 5th December 2012, the MICTH shall be the sole exclusive provider of common utility trenching in Melaka
